Thr5ve 1:1

Thr5ve 1:1 is a youth support service, founded upon professional Youth Work. It is designed for young people, aged 11 to adult, who are likely to benefit from individual support sessions with a youth worker.

Our service is for young people who are motivated to work towards positive change in their lives.

Thr5ve 1:1 offers … a way for teenagers to have a safe adult ‘professional friend’, to come alongside and support them in their holistic development.

Youth work has long been shown to boost adolescents’ life skills and increase their self-esteem, whilst reducing their likelihood of engaging in risky choices. Youth work, with its informal and relational approach, differs significantly from other professional methods, and it is this difference which helps to encourage positive outcomes for many young people.

Thr5ve 1:1 …

… is not a mental health service…

…although….

… our work can – and does – have therapeutic benefit to young people with complex and diverse needs.

… isn’t the same as counselling …

…that said….

… we provide ‘active listening’, along with opportunities for reflection, advice and signposting

… encourages learning and growth

Wait … What?

… our sessions provide a vehicle for “informal education” – most often driven by the person themselves.

Cost

Thr5ve Youth Work’s services are chargeable, but we work as efficiently as possible to keep our costs as low as possible for a high quality, individualised, in-person, professional service.

As a rough guide, our headline single, in-person, 1-hour session charge is just £60, with significant discounts for packages or longer-term work.

One-to-one support can be provided on a session-by-session, multi-session package, or termly contract basis.

Locality

Our in-person service is based in Birmingham and vicinity, and we believe that meeting face-to-face with a real person is usually more helpful.

For young people outside this area, we can provide virtual sessions at a discounted rate.

Why not ask for a virtual “meet and greet” session for just £35
